Headache & Migraine are a common complaint of many people, and in fact there are different types of headaches. If you know what type of headache you have, you can figure out the best way to treat it. Are you dealing with tension headaches? Or maybe you have cluster headaches? If you suffer from frequent or persistent headaches and migraines, it's important to know the differences between each type so you know how to not only manage your pain, but also treat it so you get better.
Scientists distinguish more than 250 types of headaches. Commonly, the tension headache, migraine and cluster headache are distinguished to classify the headache.

Tension headache

Do you suffer from tension headaches? Then you are not alone! Tension headaches are one of the most common types of headaches and can greatly affect your daily life. Whether it's a dull, throbbing pain in your forehead or a stabbing sting behind your eyes, if you're struggling with a never-ending headache, there's something you can do. In this blog post, we'll share some approaches to improving your situation. We'll discuss some helpful treatments and possible causes to help you find solutions.

Migraine headache

Migraines are more severe than tension headaches and restrict sufferers significantly more. If you suffer from migraine headaches, then you know how much they can affect your life. From the throbbing pain that goes through your head to the aura, light sensitivity, nausea and dizziness that often accompany them. It's a tremendous burden for sufferers. But there is hope! Thanks to modern medical advances, treatments for chronic migraine are becoming more effective and available, giving affected women and men alike more options than ever before.

Cluster headache

Cluster headaches are severe headache attacks that occur up to 8 times a day in some individuals. The main pain is in the area behind the eyes and in the forehead and temple region. If you suffer from cluster headaches, you know it can be a horrible experience. Cluster headaches come in waves of intense pain that can severely impact your quality of life. But the good news is that there are treatments available to relieve these symptoms and help you on your way to a headache-free life. We hope this article provides some insight into how to deal with these debilitating headaches - whether for yourself or for those around you who may also be affected. So don't just suffer in silence - let's get right to it!

Rather uncommon are, for example, cough headache or weightlifting headache. The cough headache occurs, as the name suggests, when coughing. But it also occurs when you blow your nose or stretch. Weightlifting headache occurs during or after physical exertion, especially after rapid movement. This is probably due to the increase in pressure in the veins.

6 tips against your headaches

Over 2/3 of all Germans complain about regular headaches. Thus, headaches occupy first place in Germany and can rightly be called the people's disease. The triggers for headaches and migraine attacks can be as individual as the people affected. Hormonal fluctuations, Anti-StressAlcohol or sensory stimuli, such as bright light, very loud noises or strong smells, can trigger the symptoms. Headaches are very often combated relatively carelessly with painkillers and tablets, without consulting a doctor. We have a few tips to prevent headaches.

1. drink enough

A lack of fluids is often the reason for headaches. If our body lacks water, the blood becomes more viscous and vessels in the brain are no longer optimally supplied. If now the brain is not supplied with sufficient oxygen, a symptom of this can be headache.

2. reduce screen time

The wrong posture at the desk, the long fixation of the screen or even the wrong lighting at the workplace can cause headaches. Regular breaks during which you stand up or do work that does not take place at the PC can already help. Outside of work, we should also put the smartphone aside more often to give our eyes and head a break.

3. your Zimply Natural headache mixture

Those affected often take painkillers to get the headaches and migraine attacks under control. In the long run, this is not a solution. Nature and its medicinal plants has a lot to offer to defy your headaches. Plants like Wild jasmine, Iris, St. John's wort or Kava-Kava you can relieve your migraines and headaches. With Zimply Natural's blends and sprays, you have the chance to create your own customized headache & migraine blend. Whether auta or photosensitivity, your spray will be customized to you.

4. eat regularly

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and drink enough water. Who pays attention to a balanced diet and eats regularly, often avoids headaches. Sometimes an intolerance to histamine or aspartame, for example, can also be the cause of headaches. An individual food diary can reveal such triggers.

5. heat against tension

Tension in the shoulder and neck area or incorrect posture can lead to headaches. Here, a heat pad or heat treatment can help relieve the tension and thus prevent the headache. Exercise and a reduction in stress levels also help.

6. avoid alcohol & cigarettes

Both can be triggers for headaches & migraines. The nicotine in cigarettes constricts blood vessels, which affects blood flow to the brain. This can cause headaches. Alcohol deprives the body of water and minerals. The consequence of this can also be headaches, since the missing water is taken away from our organs, as well as from the brain.
